Fabrizio Pastore's Curriculum Vitae

Fabrizio Pastore received his Ph.D Degree in Computer Science at the University of Milano - Bicocca in february 2010 defending the Thesis Automatic Diagnosis of Software Functional Faults by Means of Inferred Behavioral Models.

Fabrizio Pastore received his Bachelor Degree in Computer Science at the University of Piemonte Orientale "Amedeo Avogadro" in 2004, and obtained his Master Degree in Computer Science at the University of Milano - Bicocca in 2006.

Currently, Fabrizio is a post-doc at the department of Informatics, Systems and Communication of the University of Milano - Bicocca. In 2010 Fabrizio worked as post-doc at the University of Lugano with the Software Testing and Analysis group. Fabrizio is currently continuing the collaboration with Mehdi Mirzaaghaei, and Farzad Habibipour Roudsari two Ph.D. students in Lugano.

From November 2007 to September 2009 Fabrizio worked on the EU STREP project named "SHADOWS - Self-Healing Approach to Designing Complex Software Systems" (funded by the EU). The goal of the SHADOWS project has been the reduction of the costs caused by software faults by the introduction of paradigms and techniques for the development of self-healing systems. The role of Fabrizio in the project regarded the design of functional fault localization and healing techniques.

From January to December 2010 Fabrizio worked as a post-doc at the University of Lugano on the EU project RESERVOIR - Resources and Services Virtualization without Barriers. RESERVOIR is a European Union FP7 funded project that will enable massive scale deployment and management of complex IT services across different administrative domains, IT platforms and geographies by providing a foundation for a service-based online economy, using virtualization technologies, transparently provisioned and managed on an on-demand basis at competitive costs with high quality of service.

Fabrizio's research interests are software fault localization, self-healing systems, and testing automation. Fabrizio is currently working on the definition of a methodology for the design of Cloud compiting applications, and on the definition of techniques for the efficient diagnosis of software faults in Cloud computing software aplications.
